I was told about this previous fine art student at Cardiff Met by a tutor, he explained to me that her artwork focuses on the creation of new subjective realities from external stimuli. It often encapsulates multiple subject matters including books, films, dreams and meditations on the subconscious. I was immediately attracted to her work maybe due to her likeness of that of Peter Doig, a strong reference in my own work at the moment.
Her paintings are a mixture o figurative and abstraction, I can tell from looking at her individual artworks that there is an essence of her intimate dream world. She investigates subjective, sensory realities in fully immersive art environments. She utilises installation and paints to challenge how space and colour are perceived in order to induce imaginative thought, self-analysis and experiences of the sublime.
