Artist Research – Georgia O ‘Keefe

Georgia O’ Keefe explored abstraction in the later stages of her life as a means of self expression, I particularly like her flower paintings the intense colours and tonal details make them seem more than just a flower but a creation okeefe2f nature. Her technique of developing nature through this way is really interesting. As my project will probably go down the route of nature and how nature is more powerful than we think, or how it can move and grow in such inhumane places. I love the vibrant colours and her use of abstract makes the flower look like a magical explosion of colour.
